Travel used to be a luxury, but for many businesspeople and executives, it is more of a hassle than a treat. However, there are many ways to make travel less of a hassle:
1) Wear the right watch. It may seem trite, but the right watch helps keep you on time, helps you project the right image if you are traveling for business, and even helps you keep track of multiple time zones if you need to. Invicta watches have several models that are great for travelers. If you travel often, look for watches that can wake you up with an alarm feature (in case the hotel’s wake up call does not work).
2) Pack smart. Bring as little as you can, and try very hard to take everything with you as carry-on luggage. Not only are many airlines now charging extra for checked bags, but the possibility of having an important piece of luggage lost or delayed will just make travel more stressful. Pack things carefully, ensuring the smallest possibility of wrinkling and loss.
3) Dress the part. Dressing neatly, even if you are not traveling on business, creates a great impression. Being well-dressed can mean better service and upgrades in your airline seats. Wearing an Invicta Reserve, quality shoes, and other subtly luxurious accessories can even make you feel like a VIP.
4) Figure out the gear you can leave at home. If you’re not sure whether you will need something but you can buy it for not very much money, leave it at home. If you need it, you can buy it at your destination. Before packing, determine what your hotel will provide. If toiletries and a robe are provided, for example, that is important to know before you pack those items. Hotels provide an array of free items to make your stay nicer. Find out what free items you can expect and don’t pack those things.
5) Make a list of what you will really need. It is often easiest to start by listing what you will definitely be doing at your destination. From that, create a list of what you will definitely need to bring. For example, if you plan on diving during your travels, you may want to bring your Invicta Russina Diver watch but may decide to rent some of your other diving gear at your destination.
6) At the airport, in the security line, remove all metal from your pockets, remove your watch, and take out your laptop. By the time you get to the front of the line, you will be able to get through more quickly.
